People want to go triple platinum just to post on IG.
I miss writing and publishing. I’ve been blocking on writing through some cold hard truths (about 35-70% done) or on a new platform of my own that I create.
I started a new project, called l3ms (or little, light, lms) to test integration with Supabase, and build myself a little, light learning management system.
Sort of like a substack + learning.
I decided to open source it to make my learning everyone’s learning if I get enough time to finish the project, which I most definitely won’t have.
Here’s the project on GitHub: https://github.com/s-a-n-d-a-g-e-n-c-y/l3ms
I got a domain and everything: https://l3ms.org
It’s a 10/10 so-far on my dope scale and if I finish sprint 1, all of my writing will be on there next. I’ll write more about it there.
Why open source?
Open sourcing is something I got into from Seneca College’s Centre for the Development of Open Technology and volunteering at the Free Software & Open Source Symposium.
What stops software from being open-source? There’s arguments, and at the end of the day, if you’re an OG you can capitalize on your open source software.
This led to a full economic-ecosystem..
What’s the goal of open source?
I mean, my goal is to fight the power and win. I feel that’s the only motivation.

Folks are still working at amazon. It’s okay to do. The economy is real. It gets to a point where it makes sense to then either own everything collectively, or make existing models obsolete, socially & politically, economically. The next step is ownership.
Technology is a big part of that.
How you do things and own things is too.
